Greetings! My name is Mrs. Bridges, (formerly Ms. Thomas) and this is my 7th year as a School Counselor in the Midtown Learning Community. This will be my 3rd year serving the amazing students and families of Woodmore Elementary. I spent 4 wonderful years at Orchard Knob Middle School prior to joining Woodmore, and I can easily say Midtown is a learning community like no other. I am proud to be a part of Midtown as we work to equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need for their future.
My background:
I have previously worked as a mental health therapist at Fortwood Mental Health Center conducting individual, group, and family therapy. I was able to work within several schools while employed with Fortwood including Calvin Donaldson Elementary and Washington Alternative. I also worked at Hamilton County Juvenile Court where I held a number of titles. I learned a lot from my previous employers and I am grateful for the knowledge and experiences I gained there.
I am incredibly excited for this new school year and I look forward to seeing familiar faces and getting to know our new students! I am passionate about working with children and helping them reach their full academic potential and developing their inner strength and character. I am dedicated to making this a productive year for your student and I am happy to discuss any concerns you may have.
Your student is loved and valued here. ALWAYS
