Laura "Rhea" Thurman
I am so excited to be starting my 4th year at Woodmore, and my 15th year teaching in Hamilton County. I have been in education for 33 years. My career began with Theatre Education. I hold a BA from Hendrix College. I also attended The University of Arkansas and Middle Tennessee State University. I have a Masters of Education from UTC. I have worked in elementary, middle, high school and college. I enjoy traveling, theatre performances, both on stage, behind the scenes and from the audience. "All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players". I am thrilled to play my very small part in working with students to help them not only be better readers but to learn to love reading. Helping them to realize the important role they play in their own futures as well as the future of our country and the world. These children at Woodmore today are our future tomorrow. I am so proud of each one! Let's have a great year...read a story or better...write one!
